1. Define depth of field in your own words.
The distance and clarity of your subject that is being focused on.
2. What does DOF do?
It is all about the amount of light that enters the camera and the type of lens that you use, using a smaller aperture will give you a larger depth of field and a larger aperture will give you a smaller depth of field.

Depth Of Field is a term used in photography that is used when refering to the viewing area that shows the ditance between the closest and furthest objects in the area. The objects that are closest are the sharpest and the furthest are blurry. Depth of Field also helps bring the photo to life and make it realistic.
